New Maserati Grecale — A highly capable SUV with a perfect amalgam of performance, comfort, and safety

Maserati has revealed Grecale, a highly capable SUV with a perfect amalgam of performance, comfort, and safety. The incredibly potent vehicle boasts superb off-road capabilities and offers unparalleled driving pleasure regardless of the terrain.

Grecale comes with a diverse selection of engine options. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology powers the Modena and GT variants, producing 330hp and 300hp, respectively.

The Trofeo model is powered by a tweaked version of Maserati MC20's Nettuno engine. The mighty powerful 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine produces 530hp and 620Nm of torque, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0-60mph in 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 177 mph.

To round out the lineup, Maserati will also launch an all-electric variant of Grecale called the "Folgore" with 400V charging technology. Grecale will come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.

The Grecale adopts Maserati's new design language, which has been applied to all new models since the MC20. The vehicle's distinctive and captivating design is enhanced by the iconic Maserati grille with vertical slats and a huge emblem in the center. The side profile of the SUV flaunts an elegant and minimalistic silhouette along with the brand's signature triple-side air vents that are placed behind the front wheel arches. The rear of the vehicle features quad-tailpipes and a pronounced diffuser. The boomerang style taillights add to the vehicle's aesthetic appeal and are claimed to be influenced by the 3200 GT.

The vehicle's cabin features a large 12.3" central screen along with an 8.8" climate control display. The instrument panel is entirely digital, and a head-up display is available as an option. A new dash clock with voice control and digital assistant features is also added for enhanced functionality. The in-car sound quality is unrivaled, thanks to an incredibly immersive Sonus Faber 3D sound system.

The new Maserati Grecale will be available in the second half of 2022, while the electric Grecale Folgore will hit the market in 2023. The price of the SUV hasn't been announced yet.
