Chevrolet has unleashed the latest iteration of the iconic Corvette ZR1, boasting the most powerful V8 ever produced by an American automaker. The 2025 Corvette ZR1 features a 5.5L twin-turbocharged DOHC flat-plane crank V8 engine, dubbed the LT7, delivering an astounding 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 828 lb-ft (1,123 Nm) of torque at 6,000 rpm. This unprecedented power makes the ZR1 a formidable competitor among the world's top supercars, available in both coupe and convertible variants.
The LT7 engine, a marvel of engineering, builds on the Corvette's rich legacy of high-performance powertrains. The new ZR1 reaches a GM-estimated top speed of over 215 mph (346 km/h) on the racetrack and completes the quarter-mile in under 10 seconds. The vehicle's carbon fiber aero package generates over 1,200 pounds (544 kg) of downforce, ensuring exceptional stability at high speeds. Unique to this model, the ZR1 also reintroduces the iconic split rear window, a nod to Corvette's storied design heritage.
Designed for maximum performance, the ZR1 includes several advanced aerodynamic and cooling features. These include a flow-through hood, carbon fiber side profile air ducts, and unique fresh air intake ducts. The optional ZTK performance package adds an aggressive high-downforce rear wing, front dive planes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, making the ZR1 a track-ready beast. The car's braking system, featuring carbon ceramic rotors, ensures superior stopping power, with front rotors measuring 15.7 inches (400mm) in diameter—the largest ever on a Corvette.
Inside, the Corvette ZR1 offers a luxurious yet functional cockpit, with unique ZR1 badging and a new boost gauge. The 3LZ trim offers a new stitch pattern for the doors, enhancing the vehicle's premium feel. Customers can choose from a range of customization options, including new exterior colors like Competition Yellow, Hysteria Purple, and Sebring Orange, as well as interior options like Habanero and Blue Stitch.
