The Ferrari SF90 Spider, unveiled during a digital event, combines top-notch performance and innovation with open-top driving. Here are the key features:

Performance:

  • The SF90 Spider is a plug-in hybrid with a 780 cv turbo-charged V8 engine, supplemented by three electric motors (one at the rear and two on the front axle), providing a total power output of 1,000 cv.
  • Four driving modes are available: eDrive, Hybrid, Performance, and Qualify.
  • Like the SF90 Stradale, the SF90 Spider features AWD (all-wheel drive).
  • Impressive acceleration, with 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 7.0 seconds.
  • The eSSC (electronic Side Slip Control) optimizes dynamic control by adjusting torque to the front electric engines independently, enhancing traction and making the car more intuitive to drive at its limits.

Aerodynamics:

  • The SF90 Spider boasts an aerodynamically efficient design, providing a maximum of 390 kg of downforce at 250 km/h.
  • Notable aerodynamic features include the shut-off Gurney, an active system at the rear of the car, and forged wheels with wing profiles.
  • Innovative solutions include aerodynamic efficiency without additional appendages.

Design:

  • The SF90 Spider design closely follows the signature styling of the SF90 Stradale.
  • The tonneau area is meticulously integrated into the car's design, ensuring the V8 engine remains visible through the engine bay cover, even with the retractable hard top (RHT) stowed.

Interior:

  • The "eyes on the road, hands on the steering wheel" philosophy drove the interior design.
  • The new HMI (Human-Machine Interface) concept features a touchpad on the steering wheel to control various aspects of the car.
  • A 16" curved HD screen is fully configurable and controlled via the steering wheel.
  • The central tunnel now houses gearbox controls, referencing the iconic manual gearshift gate.

Retractable Hard Top (RHT):

  • The SF90 Spider features a retractable hard top, offering noise insulation and weather protection.
  • The RHT is compact, light, and can be deployed in 14 seconds even while the car is in motion.
  • It takes up just 100 liters of space and is around 40 kg lighter than conventional RHTs.

Assetto Fiorano Package:

  • For track-focused owners, there's an Assetto Fiorano package with exclusive upgrades.
  • These include Multimatic shock absorbers, high-performance materials like carbon-fiber and titanium, a carbon-fiber rear spoiler, and road-homologated Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
  • This package also offers an optional two-tone livery to enhance the car's racing character.
