CHEVROLET HAS UNVEILED THE 2024 SILVERADO EV: THE PICKUP REIMAGINED

Chevrolet has unveiled the 2024 Silverado EV, offering 400 miles of driving range, 664 horsepower, and more than 780 lb-ft of torque from a two-motor system that accelerates the truck from 0-60 mph in under 4.5 seconds.

The Silverado EV will be offered in two variants at the time of launch, an RST First Edition and a fleet-oriented WT model. The vehicle will have a trailering capacity of up to 10,000 pounds, with 1,300 pounds of payload on the RST model.

The Silverado EV will support standard DC fast charging of up to 350kW on 800 volts, recovering 100-miles of range in only 10 minutes.

The vehicle features independent front and rear suspensions, 24-inch wheels, an electric 4WD system, and automatic adaptive air suspension that enables the vehicle to be raised or lowered up to 2 inches

Inside and out, the Silverado EV is intelligently designed to offer practicality and flexibility. The front-end sculpting pushes the air around the body rather than moving it under the hood, allowing the vehicle to have the lowest drag coefficients of any available full-size pickup truck.

The interior comes with a 17-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, an 11-inch driver display, and a head-up display that replaces traditional gauges. The Silverado EV features GM's Ultifi software platform, allowing software updates and vehicle technologies to evolve over time.

The eTrunk, a lockable, waterproof container in the front of the vehicle, has enough capacity to store a sizeable suitcase. The unique optional Multi-Flex Midgate on the RST maximizes the storage capacity of the 5-foot-11-inch bed, providing slightly over 9 feet of storage between the cab and the tailgate when the Midgate is open.

In spring 2023, the Silverado EV will debut a WT model offering 400 miles of battery range on a full charge. In fall 2023, a fully loaded RST First Edition model will debut with an MSRP of $105,000 + DFC. After production ramps up, Chevrolet will unleash the full Silverado EV portfolio, including WT (starting at MSRP of $39,900 + DFC), RST, Trail Boss, and more.
