The latest Mercedes-Benz GLS models have undergone visual enhancements and functional upgrades for off-road capabilities. The radiator grille now features four galvanized louvres in Silver Shadow, giving it a more striking appearance. The bumper has also been redesigned with integrated air inlet grilles in high-gloss black, along with a simulated underguard (standard equipment) that adds to the rugged look. The rear lights now have three horizontal blocks, adding to the eye-catching design. Additionally, a new 20-inch multi-spoke light-alloy wheel in Himalayas grey with a high-sheen finish has been added to the wheel options.

Inside, the GLS is a seven-seater as standard, and two new leather colors, Catalana beige and Bahia brown, have been added to the range of options. The interior trim finishes have also been revised, with glossy brown lime wood now being standard. The trim element MANUFAKTUR glossy black flowing lines piano lacquer, previously reserved for the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC, is now also available for the GLS family from Mercedes-Benz. The louvres of the centre and side air vents are also galvanized in Silver Shadow, adding to the premium feel of the interior.

In terms of off-road capabilities, Mercedes-Benz has recompiled the scope of the Off-Road Engineering package for the GLS. This includes an underride guard and 30 millimeters (1.18 inches) more ground clearance, providing improved capability in moderate off-road terrain. The updated MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system brings a new look for the displays, with three different styles (classic, sporty, discreet) and three modes (Navigation, Assistance, Service) that can be customized to the driver's preference. The "Off-Road Mode" in the current MBUX generation provides special content such as gradient, lateral inclination, compass, and steering angle as a visual experience, making off-road driving more intuitive and informative.

The GLS also offers impressive towing capabilities, with all-wheel drive and a gear ratio designed for pulling power. It can tow a high trailer load of up to 3.5 tonnes (7,716 pounds) and has a tongue weight capacity of up to 140 kg (308 pounds). The trailer coupling has two additional bolts on the ball neck that can be used to support a suitable bicycle carrier with a load capacity of 100 kg (220 pounds), making it convenient for transporting e-bikes. Helpful additional features for towing include Trailer Manoeuvring Assist, an updated Trailer menu in the central display, and a Trailer route planner for optimized routes when towing. Overall, the Mercedes-Benz GLS offers visual enhancements and functional off-road features that enhance its capabilities as a luxury SUV. So, whether you're driving on paved roads or tackling moderate off-road terrain, the GLS has you covered with its updated features and capabilities.  It's a versatile and capable luxury SUV that offers both style and performance for discerning drivers.
