Mercedes-AMG is introducing updates to its popular GLS 63 4MATIC+ model, enhancing its design and performance features. As the flagship of the AMG SUV family, the GLS 63 now sports a distinctive LED rear light signature and two new paint color options, MANUFAKTUR alpine grey non-metallic and sodalite blue metallic. The front section also showcases the iconic AMG emblem, highlighting the close brand affinity. Additionally, red brake callipers and a new logo projector that displays an AMG-specific light animation upon opening the front doors further accentuate the sporty aesthetics. Customers can also choose from a range of wheel options, including 21-inch ten-spoke light-alloy wheels, as well as 22 and 23-inch forged wheels.

Inside the cabin, the GLS 63 boasts luxurious AMG seats upholstered in Exclusive nappa leather and offers new color schemes in Bahia brown/black or macchiato beige/black. Glossy brown lime wood and MANUFAKTUR glossy black piano lacquer with flowing decorative lines are available as optional interior trim choices. The latest generation of MBUX, Mercedes' innovative infotainment system, features an AMG-specific screen design and functions, providing an enhanced brand experience for drivers and passengers alike.

The standard equipment in the GLS 63 is now even more comprehensive, with notable inclusions such as the electric panoramic sliding sunroof, heated and climatized front seats, Adaptive High Beam Assist, Smartphone Integration, engageable AMG Performance exhaust system, Burmester® sound system, Memory package, 360-degree Parking Pilot, KEYLESS-GO package, and Blind Spot Assist. The AMG Performance steering wheel, equipped with brilliant displays and intuitive operating logic, is also standard and offers optional features such as heating and carbon-fibre look.

Under the hood, the GLS 63 is powered by the proven AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine with an output of 450 kW (612 hp). The engine has been electrified with a 48-volt auxiliary on-board electrical system and an integrated starter alternator (ISG) including Boost function, providing exceptional power delivery with finely controlled power output. The ISG also performs various hybrid functions, including boosting, recuperation, load point shifting, gliding, and engine restarting with the start/stop function, resulting in improved efficiency and reduced consumption.
