Mazda has officially unveiled the all-new 2026 Mazda CX-5, marking the third generation of its best-selling crossover SUV. Revealed on July 10, 2025, in Europe, the new CX-5 arrives with a sharper focus on everyday comfort, emotional design, and enhanced technology, continuing its legacy that began in 2012 with the introduction of Mazda’s “KODO - Soul of Motion” design language and SKYACTIV technology.

This latest CX-5 carries forward the “Jinba-Ittai” driving philosophy—designed to feel like an extension of the driver—while improving interior space, ride quality, and quietness. A refreshed Human Machine Interface, improved connectivity, and upgraded ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) elevate the CX-5 into a more digitally aware and safer companion for modern lifestyles. Whether it’s daily commutes or weekend family trips, the 2026 CX-5 is designed to support a more emotional and comfortable driving experience.

Powering the new CX-5 in Europe is the e-SKYACTIV G 2.5-liter petrol engine, paired with Mazda’s mild-hybrid M Hybrid system and a 6-speed SKYACTIV-DRIVE automatic transmission. While official performance specs vary by market, this setup is expected to offer smoother acceleration and improved fuel economy. Mazda also hinted at its future powertrain roadmap, confirming the introduction of SKYACTIV-Z combustion tech with a unique hybrid system by 2027.

Mazda plans to launch the 2026 CX-5 in European showrooms by late 2025, with other markets following throughout 2026. With over 4.5 million units sold globally, the CX-5 remains the cornerstone of Mazda’s SUV lineup—now smarter, safer, and more comfortable than ever.
