Toyota has unveiled the all-new Urban Cruiser, a compact battery-electric SUV designed to deliver style, space, and advanced technology for city and suburban drivers. Scheduled to make its public debut at the 2025 Brussels Motor Show, the Urban Cruiser will hit UK roads in the third quarter of 2025, marking Toyota’s continued push into the electric SUV market.

Built from the Urban SUV Concept, the Urban Cruiser features a bold SUV design with a high driving position and sleek “hammerhead” front styling. With compact dimensions larger than the Yaris Cross, it measures 4,285mm in length, providing an elevated yet manageable driving experience. A flexible interior offers sliding rear seats, 40:20:40 seat splits, and ample passenger space rivaling larger SUVs.

Buyers can choose between two battery options – 49kWh and 61kWh – with front or all-wheel drive configurations. Power output ranges from 142 bhp to 184 bhp, with AWD models gaining enhanced stability from a rear motor. Toyota’s emphasis on practicality extends to features like a heat pump, battery pre-heating, and tech-focused infotainment.
