Volkswagen has unveiled the electric ID.3 GTI with 240 kW (326 PS) and 545 Nm of torque delivered to the rear axle. The compact performance model is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and reach an electronically limited 200 km/h.
A 79 kWh net lithium-ion battery provides a claimed range of up to 601 km. DC charging at up to 183 kW can replenish the battery from 10 to 80 percent in around 29 minutes.
The ID.3 GTI comes with adaptive DCC sports suspension, progressive steering, Launch Control and a dedicated GTI driving mode as standard. Pre-sales are scheduled to begin in early 2027; the vehicle is currently described as a near-production concept and is not yet available for sale.
