The All-New Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan: A New Breed of Bold

Mercedes has unveiled the revamped C-class sedan for 2022. The automaker's best-selling vehicle has received a significant facelift that includes a sharp, dynamic exterior design, enhanced interior space, and a slew of new technology features that were first seen on the 2021 S-class

The new C-class features a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four cylinder engine that produces a staggering 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The vehicle is also equipped with a 48-volt electric starter-generator EQ Boost system, adding up to 20 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque in performance. The new C-class has a top speed of 130 mph and reaches from 0-60 in 5.9 seconds.

The interior of the new C-class is redesigned from scratch. The all-new 11.9" central touchscreen multimedia display comes with the latest version of MBUX software. The display is tilted six degrees towards the driver, and the portrait orientation facilitates full-screen navigation. Another salient feature of the interior is a 12.3" digital instrument panel that provides all the necessary information and assistance to the drivers and allows them to choose from Sporty, Classic, or Understated display styles.

A short front overhang, extended wheelbase, and stylish bonnet with dual power domes add to the vehicle's visual appeal from the outside. The windscreen and passenger compartment are also shifted to the back for traditional proportions known as a "cab-backward" design.

The C-class will be available in three trim levels: Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle.  The vehicle is expected to debut in showrooms in the United States in early 2022. Prices have yet to be announced.
