The updated Mercedes-Benz C-Class is scheduled to arrive at U.S. dealerships in the first half of 2027. Its revised powertrain combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and an electric auxiliary compressor.
The engine produces 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque, while the integrated starter-generator can provide up to 23 hp and 151 lb-ft. An overboost function adds 27 hp for around 20 seconds. Mercedes-Benz has also retuned the suspension for more direct responses while retaining long-distance ride comfort.
Technology updates include the MB.OS operating system with over-the-air vehicle updates, a fourth-generation MBUX system with an AI-powered Virtual Assistant, and expanded MB.DRIVE driver and parking assistance systems. The exterior receives a redesigned illuminated grille, star-pattern lighting elements and new wheel designs.
