The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe is a sporty and elegant dream car that combines the conceptual and technical innovations of the C-Class and E-Class. The CLE Coupe will be available at U.S dealerships in early 2024, with the CLE Cabriolet following for open-air enthusiasts.
The exterior design of the CLE Coupe features a long wheelbase, a well-positioned and inclined A-pillar, short front overhang, and slightly longer rear overhang, along with pronounced shoulders and large wheel arches. These sporty and elegant proportions are combined with the modern design language of Mercedes-Benz, resulting in a powerful and dynamic design that exudes emotion from every angle.
The front section of the CLE Coupe has a forward-leaning design with a low-slung hood, unique flat LED headlights, and a newly designed three-dimensional radiator grille, giving it an athletic yet highly elegant appearance. The long hood features strongly contoured power domes that signify the powerful engines available, including up to six cylinders. The profile of the vehicle is defined by a distinct character line that runs from the headlight to the exterior mirror and from the taillight to the door handle. The back end showcases flowing surfaces, smooth transitions, and two-part LED taillights with new contours and three-dimensional light bodies.
In terms of space, the CLE Coupe is the largest coupe in the midsize segment, measuring 191 inches in length, 73.2 inches in width, and 56.2 inches in height. It offers more space than the C-Class Coupe, with rear passengers benefiting from additional headroom, shoulder room, elbow room, and knee room compared to its predecessor. The trunk volume is also increased, providing ample space for three golf bags.
The interior of the CLE Coupe features a free-standing 12.3-inch fully digital driver display and an 11.9-inch driver-oriented central display in portrait format. The enhanced 64-color ambient lighting creates a luxurious atmosphere, extending from the center console to beneath the outer air vents. The front seats in integral sport design are developed exclusively for the CLE, and the standard Burmester® 3D surround sound system with Dolby Atmos® ensures an immersive music experience.
The CLE Coupe adopts the latest generation MBUX infotainment system from the new E-Class, offering an interactive entertainment experience with third-party apps and advanced personalization features. The available engines are mild hybrids with an integrated starter generator and 48-volt electrical system, providing an electrified driving experience. The CLE Coupe also comes equipped with various driver assistance systems for enhanced safety, including ATTENTION ASSIST, Active Brake Assist, and the Parking Package with a reversing camera.
