In 1993, Mercedes-Benz introduced a V8 variant of the G-Class for the first time with the 500 GE. This marked a significant milestone in the history of the G-Class, combining powerful performance with off-road capability. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the G 500, Mercedes-Benz has launched the "Final Edition" as a limited special model.
The "Final Edition" of the G 500 is available in three different color variants, each limited to 500 units. The options include obsidian black metallic, opalith white magno (a MANUFAKTUR paint), and olive magno (also a MANUFAKTUR paint) – the newest addition to the G-Class color range.
This special edition features exclusive equipment details that enhance its appearance and provide a unique touch. It comes equipped with 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a 5-twin-spoke design, painted in the body color with a high-sheen finish. The MANUFAKTUR olive magno paint variant has wheels with a different finish. The "FINAL EDITION" lettering is displayed throughout the exterior, from the protective strip to the insert in the spare wheel cover. The special model also includes various add-on parts in body color and high-gloss chrome, such as the spare wheel ring, further emphasizing its exclusivity. Additionally, buyers receive an indoor car cover with "STRONGER THAN TIME" lettering for added protection.
The interior of the "Final Edition" continues the tradition of high-quality equipment in the G 500. Illuminated "FINAL EDITION" lettering welcomes occupants on the door sill trims, and a genuine silver coin in the form of an edition-specific plaque is attached to the vehicle key. The special edition comes with the Superior Line package, featuring the Burmester® surround sound system and the Active Multicontour Seat Package Plus. The seats are upholstered in two-tone MANUFAKTUR Nappa leather.
A notable feature of the "Final Edition" is the exclusive MANUFAKTUR full leather package, perfectly matched to the exterior paintwork. The interior is lined with Nappa leather, including the luggage compartment, roof lining, and panels on the seat adjustment switches. The headliner's center section is colored to match the seat center panel and features a diamond design. The color combination varies depending on the exterior paint variant.
The "Final Edition" of the G 500 is available for ordering with a recommended retail price of 196,350 euros in Germany (including 19% VAT). This limited special model serves as a tribute to the 30-year history of the G 500 and offers customers exclusive features and design elements to celebrate this milestone.
