Mercedes-Benz has announced the arrival of the 2024 GLC Coupe to its dealerships in the U.S later this year. The GLC Coupe, the sporty version of the GLC SUV, combines sporty performance with high efficiency. It is available as a mild hybrid with 48-volt technology and an integrated starter-generator for an extra boost and energy recuperation. The off-road screen and the "transparent hood" as an element of the standard Surround View 360-degree camera enhance the driving experience of the Coupe. The 2024 GLC Coupe features the latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system. The two LCD screens present clear and structured information, and the "Hey Mercedes" intuitive voice assistant is increasingly effective in responding to natural language and user preferences.
The new GLC Coupe embodies elegance, dynamism, and off-road adventure. Its dramatic surfaces and precisely shaped edges define the distinctive design, complemented by a high-quality interior. The modern and reductive design of the door panels frames both ends of the dashboard. The seat design plays with layers and contoured surfaces, lending them visual lightness, and the interior features a standard leather-lined dashboard with Nappa-look.
This car has a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1,999 cc. It has a rated output of 255 horsepower at 5,800 rpm, with an additional output of 23 horsepower from a boost. The rated torque is 295 lb-ft, with an additional 148 lb-ft from a boost. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in an estimated 6.2 seconds and has a top speed of 130 mph.
With a length of 187.5 inches, the GLC Coupe is 1.2 inches longer and 0.2 inches higher than its predecessor. The track widths are larger, and the longer vehicle length benefits the wheelbase and the front and rear overhangs. The width has remained the same, and the new model features even more trunk space than before. The GLC Coupe is available as the best-selling Mercedes-Benz model range, rounding off the range with its stylish design, dynamic driving performance, and off-road capabilities. The price of the 2024 GLC Coupe will be announced closer to the launch date.
