Toyota Motor Corporation has unveiled the new Land Cruiser "250" Series, set to launch in the first half of 2024 in Japan. Simultaneously, the heavy-duty Land Cruiser "70" Series is returning to the Japanese market this winter. With these additions, all three Land Cruiser series will be available in Japan.

The new "250" Series represents a return to the origins of the Land Cruiser, focusing on simplicity and robustness. Built on the GA-F platform like the 300 Series, the 250 Series promises a substantial improvement in off-road performance. It will also offer various powertrains, including a hybrid system, a first for the Land Cruiser.

The newly revealed series includes innovative features such as a 50% increase in frame rigidity, a 30% increase in overall rigidity, Electric Power Steering (EPS), and the Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism (SDM), which is a first for a Toyota vehicle.

Along with the announcement of the "250" Series, the heavy-duty "70" Series, known for its outstanding durability and off-road driving performance, will make its return as a regular model in the range in Japan.

The unveiling of these models reinforces Toyota's commitment to the Land Cruiser's 72-year legacy of reliability, durability, and off-road performance. The 250 Series also aligns with Toyota's carbon neutrality initiatives, reflecting both powerful driving performance and environmental responsibility. Further details and pricing will be announced closer to the launch date.
