Chevrolet has introduced the 2027 Silverado 1500 with an updated powertrain lineup led by new 5.7-liter and 6.6-liter V8 engines. The truck also continues with a 2.7-liter TurboMax and a 3.0-liter Duramax turbo-diesel, with the TurboMax now paired with a 10-speed transmission.
The redesigned Silverado adds a seven-trim lineup, including Work Truck, Custom, Silverado, Trail Boss, Custom Trail Boss, ZR2 and High Country. The ZR2 receives 35-inch mud-terrain tires, a 2-inch lift, front and rear electronic locking differentials and Multimatic DSSV dampers, while the Trail Boss uses 34-inch tires and a 2-inch lift.
All models get a 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information screen. Super Cruise with trailering capability is standard on High Country and ZR2 and available on Silverado and Trail Boss trims. The 2027 Silverado 1500 is expected to go on sale at the end of 2026, with pricing to be announced later in the year.
