The new Panamera brings the Porsche flyline to the four-door body style by lengthening and widening the visual impact of the new chassis. The front wheels moved forward and the rear of the roof line was lowered, thereby creating a longer and sleeker profile. A 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 powers the 4S, while the Turbo is now equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. Both models feature a centrally located direct injection nozzle and a pair of twin-scroll turbos located within the "V" of the V-engine architecture. Both engines are mated to a new eight-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung dual-clutch gear box and send power to all four wheels via Porsche's hang-on clutch system. Finally, the interior concept of the Panamera range includes a new Advanced Cockpit system that features black-panel touch activated switches and a large 12.3-inch TFT touchscreen display. Two configurable displays flank the centrally mounted analog tachometer.
