BMW has announced the latest iteration of its popular X5 Sports Activity Vehicle, featuring a comprehensive overhaul. The 2023 version of the X5 takes these attributes to a new level with a comprehensive redesign and new advancements in technology. The front fascia of the X5 features a new design for the headlights and kidney grille, with a 35mm narrower outline for the headlights and a newly sculpted kidney grille bordered by vertical air curtains. The illumination for the kidney grille can now be specified as an option and switched on or off manually by the driver.

The air breathers in the front side panels have also received a new design, and the rear lights feature striking contours of fiber-optic light elements, creating an "X" motif within the lights. The X5 can be specified with the optional M Sport package, adding a sporty front and rear apron and roof rails in black high-gloss. The flagship X5 M60i xDrive model also features unique design elements such as double bars for the kidney grille, M exterior mirror caps, and a quad-pipe exhaust tailpipe trim.

The interior of the X5 has been reengineered with the latest-generation iDrive control system, featuring a fully digital BMW Curved Display and BMW Operating System 8. The intuitive touch control and natural voice interaction make operating the X5 even more convenient. The M Sport Professional package can be added for even more high-performance enhancements, including M Sport brakes and an M Sport exhaust system.

Production of the 2023 BMW X5 will begin in April 2023 at BMW Group Plant Spartanburg, South Carolina. With a starting MSRP of $65,200 + $995 destination and handling for the X5 sDrive40i, customers can expect to receive a high-quality Sports Activity Vehicle with the latest technology and design elements. The new X5 will make its public debut at The Amelia Concours d’Elegance in March.
