BMW has unveiled the 2026 i3, a fully electric sedan that marks the brand's first electric 3 Series model.
Built on the Neue Klasse platform, the i3 boasts a sleek 2.5-box design with a long wheelbase, short overhangs, and flared wheel arches, embodying BMW's modern aesthetic.
The front features a unified kidney grille and four-eye light signature, while the interior introduces the BMW Panoramic iDrive and a free-cut central display, enhancing the driver-focused experience.
Equipped with sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology and an 800-volt architecture, the i3 supports 400 kW DC charging, enabling rapid charging times and a projected range of up to 440 miles.
The BMW Symbiotic Drive system offers Level 2+ automated driving capabilities, providing intuitive human-vehicle assistance.
Production is set to commence at BMW's Munich plant in August 2026, with deliveries expected in Europe in the autumn of the same year.
