BMW has unveiled the 2027 7 Series, marking the seventh generation of its flagship sedan and the first to incorporate Neue Klasse technology. The new model introduces a refreshed exterior design, a state-of-the-art interior with advanced infotainment features, and a range of powertrain options, including all-electric and plug-in hybrid variants. The 2027 7 Series is set to begin production in July 2026, with global deliveries expected shortly thereafter. The exterior of the 2027 7 Series showcases BMW's latest design language, featuring a more monolithic appearance with a redesigned kidney grille and slimmer, two-section headlights. The illuminated BMW kidney grille, now slimmer and more vertical, exudes a luxurious aura, while the new headlights offer a sophisticated, technical look. Optional crystal headlights with 12 crystal glass elements per light provide a unique, sparkling aesthetic. The rear design includes redesigned taillights that extend toward the center of the trunk lid, enhancing the vehicle's visual length and elegance. Inside, the 2027 7 Series features a redesigned dashboard with a 17.9-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 14.6-inch passenger display, both running BMW's latest iDrive X system. The BMW Panoramic Vision projection spans the width of the windshield, and the BMW Theater Screen, a 31.3-inch display, offers rear-seat entertainment with touchscreen functionality and Dolby Atmos audio processing. The interior also introduces a new steering wheel design with vertical spokes, reflecting the Neue Klasse influence. The 2027 7 Series offers a variety of powertrain options. The all-electric i7 50 xDrive and i7 60 xDrive models provide impressive performance and range, benefiting from the new high-voltage battery technology with cylindrical cells for greater energy density. The plug-in hybrid 750e xDrive, arriving in Q1 2027, combines a combustion engine with an electric motor for enhanced performance and efficiency. The combustion-powered 740 and 740 xDrive models continue to offer a blend of performance and luxury. Pricing for the 2027 7 Series starts at $101,350 for the 740 xDrive and $107,750 for the i7 50 xDrive, with the 750e xDrive expected to be priced competitively upon its release.
