THE NEXT-GENERATION FORD EVEREST MAKES ITS DEBUT
Ford has unveiled
the next-generation Everest, a robust, classy, and fun-to-drive
SUV that combines
adventure-ready capabilities with
supreme comfort.
The SUV's front end has a bold and muscular appearance thanks to strikingly stunning C-clamp headlamps, eye-catching LED daytime running lights, and a sturdy horizontal upper grille bar. A pronounced front-to-back shoulder line on the sides gives the vehicle an assertive road appearance, and the wider track (50mm increase from the previous generation) provides a more dramatic swell over the wheels. The new-generation Everest features a larger wheelbase and shorter overhangs, making it even more adept at conquering challenging terrains.
Ford has massively upgraded the interior of the Everest to offer a sense of seclusion when someone steps in. A vertically mounted 12.0-inch infotainment screen (a 10.1-inch screen is offered in the base trim) takes center stage, providing an intuitive display and split configuration for enhanced functionality. An ultramodern 8 or 12.3-inch digital instrument panel is fitted behind the steering wheel to deliver all the necessary information to the driver, and the climate control knobs are located directly beneath the colossal infotainment screen. Other striking features include a moonroof, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, and voice-activated communications.
Powertrain options include a new 3.0L turbodiesel V6 engine, Single-Turbo and Bi-Turbo 2.0L inline four-cylinder diesel engine, and a 2.3L EcoBoost petrol engine. Depending on the model, these engine options are either mated to six-speed automatic or Ford's efficient 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.
The all-new SUV is equipped with different driving modes, allowing the drivers to switch between 4WD and 2WD. The Eco, Tow, Slippery, Sand, and Mud modes alter various vehicle settings to further enhance Everest's potential.
The next-generation Everest comes with a plethora of safety features such as a lane-keeping system with road-edge detection, evasive steer assist, blind spot information system with trailer coverage, and pre-collision assist with intersection functionality.
