GR Corolla — Toyota has finally unleashed THE BEAST
Toyota GR Corolla, the latest offering from Toyota’s Gazoo Racing division, is gearing up to make its mark on the hot hatch segment.
The scintillating vehicle is set to conquer the hearts of hot hatch enthusiasts, thanks to its blazing performance, immaculate handling, and unmatched functionality.
The GR Corolla will be available in two different trim levels: Core and Circuit Edition.
The 2023 Toyota GR Corolla is driven by a G16E-GTS 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, producing 300 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 273 lb.-ft of torque at 3,000-5,500 rpm. The massively powerful engine is paired with a cutting-edge six-speed manual transmission that sends the power to the driveshaft in a flash. The hot hatch is equipped with a rally-developed GR-Four All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) drivetrain with power distribution options of 60-40, 50-50, or 30-70 to the front and rear wheels.
Without a doubt, the 2023 Toyota GR Corolla is one of the most aggressive and best-looking hot hatches on the market. At the front, the GR boasts a black matrix grille with functional narrow air intakes on both ends. Coming to the sides, the vehicle flaunts a muscular stance, courtesy of its bulky and super-prominent wheel arches as well as exquisite 18-inch alloy wheels. A massive rear spoiler complements the tapering of the roof and gives the hot hatch a solid road presence. The GR Corolla's overall aesthetic appeal is also enhanced by a pair of gorgeous backlights, an aggressive diffuser, and a sophisticated tri-exit exhaust system fitted to its rear.
The GR Corolla's interior has a luxurious yet sportier feel to it. The build quality is solid, as you'd expect from a Toyota, with premium soft-touch materials everywhere. A slew of top-end features is also incorporated into the interior including push-button start, ambient lighting, aluminum pedal covers, and a six-way adjustable driver's seat. The cabin features Faux-leather sports seats with red stitching for added comfort, as well as a 12.3-inch digital infotainment display that provides the driver with all pertinent information. An 8.0-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is also mounted on the center of the dashboard.
The GR Corolla will only be offered in the American market. The vehicle's pricing has yet to be confirmed by Toyota.
