Automobili Lamborghini has launched Revuelto, the first hybrid plug-in super sports V12 HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) as part of its 60th-anniversary celebration. Revuelto offers sportiness, performance, and driving pleasure with an unprecedented new architecture, innovative design, maximum-efficiency aerodynamics, and a new carbon frame concept. The car features an entirely new combustion engine combined with three electric motors and a double-clutch gearbox, which debuts on a 12-cylinder Lamborghini for the first time. The powertrain is designed to deliver an output of 1015 CV (1,001 hp) with a high specific power output of 127 CV per liter. The weight-to-power ratio is outstanding, with acceleration from 0-100 km/h in only 2.5 seconds and a top speed of more than 350 km/h.
Revuelto is built with carbon fiber as the principal structural element, not only in the monofuselage and frame but also for many elements of the bodywork. The extensive use of carbon fiber and lightweight materials, combined with the potent engine power, contributes to achieving the best weight-to-power ratio in the history of Lamborghini: 1.75 kg/CV. The car also features electric torque vectoring and four-wheel drive available in fully-electric drive mode. The introduction of electric motors enhances power delivery at low revs, and the new Revuelto can also transform into a purely electric car, reducing overall CO2 emissions by 30%.
Revuelto is a milestone in the history of Lamborghini, and an important pillar in its Direzione Cor Tauri electrification strategy. The car delivers the highest performance and reactivity, providing the most emotive and natural driving experience in every environment. The unique architecture of Revuelto features an unprecedented hybrid system, a new generation of V12 engine, and a plug-in hybrid super sports car equipped with a lightweight high-power lithium-ion battery, housed within the transmission tunnel in the central section of the chassis. It’s an innovative solution, designed to reduce emissions compared to the previous V12 while maximizing performance. Lamborghini has introduced an unprecedented hybrid architecture that combines iconic symbols of its super sports heritage and history with hybrid technology.
