Mercedes-AMG has introduced the Mercedes-AMG GT2 PRO, a non-homologated race car designed for track days. Based on the Mercedes-AMG GT2, the GT2 PRO offers enhanced performance features, including a new Push2Pass function. When activated by pushing a button on the steering wheel, this feature temporarily boosts the AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine's performance, providing up to 750 hp. The standard output is 707 hp.
This race car features a sequential six-speed racing gearbox with modified gear ratios and a transaxle configuration for the transmission. The GT2 PRO is equipped with comprehensive adjustable four-way motorsport shock absorbers for precise handling. It has a unique visual identity with a matte grey full paint finish, separately finished decoration stripes, and GT2 PRO logos.
The GT2 PRO comes with various safety features, including a carbon safety cell, a five-point safety belt, safety nets, a fire extinguisher, and an extrication hatch. It also has a racing ABS and a multi-adjustable traction control system to ensure driver confidence on the track.
The vehicle is supplied with a comprehensive delivery package, including a car cover, PUMA race apparel, an individualized race suit, gloves, competition underwear, and shoes. Owners also receive a high-quality individualized BELL helmet in Mercedes-AMG GT2 PRO design. Additional features like a passenger safety cell, a drinking system, a seat and helmet cooling system, and an individually assembled spare parts package can be added. Owners of the GT2 PRO receive priority entry to the AMG Racing Series, exclusive track day events at various circuits.
